The African American Children’s Book Project serves to promote and preserve African American children’s literature. Offering the best and the brightest from the African American Children’s literary community since 1992.

The project is the brainchild of director –Vaness Lloyd-Sgambati a literary consultant with years of experience in publishing and tv production. An annual event hosted  by the Community College of Philadelphia, the book fair has grown exponentially in participation and corporate donors.

Current and past sponsors have include NBC10, URBAN GENESIS, PECO, The Philadelphia Daily News and THE LITERARY.
